I have always felt that a portrait session is about so
much more than a simple "picture", it is connecting with your subject
and then capturing that moment to remember forever. Some have said that
professional portraits are a "vanity" or a "frivolity", but put
simply... a professional portrait is a moment captured by a
professional, whose technical knowledge, and artistic creativity bind
together to create art that will a cherished treasure for your family to
remember long after your children have grown and begun their own
families...that is much more than a frivolity, it's an Heirloom.
My style is more about my ease with children than a
particular "look" or theme. I don't believe that capturing the essence
of a child has anything to do with the location, or what is in the
portrait...its about being comfortable with all babies and children, and
having them feel that comfort so that they trust me enough to allow me
to see their true personality...and that's what I do and have done for
over 15 years.
My studio is designed to be a comfortable "home" like
environment nestled in a turn of the century "Craftsman" style home in
Liberty Hill, Texas. Complete with original hardwood floors to shoot on,
n umerous windows for natural light and a fabulous old front porch, this
house gives us many options to create a portrait to match your style or
home decor. Surrounding the studio is approximately an acre or
more of outdoor shooting areas with old oak trees, a small "barn", green
grass and a horse ranch behind us.
As a newborn specialist, I have created a "Newborn Room"
which is the only area in the house that does not have hardwood floors.
A comfy, warm room surrounded with windows...we are able to photograph
your newborn in various style in an environment that is perfect for the
sleepy, peaceful babies we love to see.
